The Big Bang points out that the universe required creation from an outside causal agent (God). Yet there is another aspect of today’s scientific evidence that strengthens this claim even further — the intentional design of the universe. Rather than a series of random occurrences or simply explainable evolutionary chain, the complexity and intentionality of the observable universe points toward an outside force of vast wisdom and power. In this program, we’ll explore both evidence from the Big Bang and the evidence of intentional design that point toward a supernatural Creator and Designer of the universe.

The John Ankerberg Show is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability
I just watched part one of this series with Dr. Hugh Ross and was disappointed and concerned that Dr. Ankerberg would replace and reject the Word of God and accept misquided secular science “theory”.
The Bible, specifically Genesis tells us that God created the heaven, earth and everything in them in six days and rested on the seventh.
Genesis tells us that God created the stars on day four – three days AFTER the earth was created. This is in stark contrast to the “Big Bang” model that the universe and earth were formed over billions of years, and specifically that stars existed billions of years before earth.
The Bible (2Peter 3:5, Genesis 1:2-9, Psalm 24:2) tells us that the earth was made from water, unlike the molten blob of the Big Bang.
To accept the Big Bang, I am asked to reject the Word of the Lord and accept naturalism – the belief that nature is all there is and that was current “is” is what always was. They try to “sell” the misguided philosophy by conceding that God had a hand in it. The Big Bang not only asks that I reject His Word, it asks that I accept bad science because the big bang is not testable, repeatable labratory science.
As leaders and teachers, He will hold you accountable for your deceptions and rejection of His Word.
May God help you,

Theologian C. John Collins, professor of Old Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary, has pointed out that the primary purpose of the brief Genesis account of creation is to express a coherent view of one true God who originated all things and created man to rule His creation in a wise and benevolent way. This countered the heathen polytheistic views of neighboring nations.
To convey powerful messages, the Bible authors used two types of language – ordinary and poetic. Both could be understood by the Hebrew people. Bible authors did not use “scientific” language which would answer specific “how” and “when” questions with great precision.
Most areas of confusion about the Genesis account relate to the hyper-literal “scientific” interpretations individuals assign to the words of Genesis 1-2. To many sincere believers those hyper-literal INTERPRETATIONS become THE word of God. They allow no further questions or nuances of interpretation on what the Genesis 1-2 passage could really mean.
As Dr. Ankerberg’s science blogger, I have written many posts on the topic of origins. These posts investigate troubling origins questions at length. I invite readers to check out the posts at the ministry website: http://www.ankerberg.org
The post “Purpose of Scriptural Language” discussing the language issues may be found archived on December 6, 2010 at “Jim Virkler’s Science Blog” linked on the Ankerberg Theological Research Institute’s website.

I am happy that this big bang cosmology helps some to believe in God however I would like to point out the fact that the big bang does not follow what genesis chaper one says happened. For example the earth was created four days before the rest of the universe. ANd all the stars were created and spread out in one single earth day. THese scriptural statment are not in line with the big bang comsmology. Astromony to be true to the bible must line up with these two statements. If not then the scientific view must be wrong.
