Mother’s Day: 7 Days of Prayer

mothers-day-2017-art-header

As Mother’s Day approaches I have thought seriously about how we can properly honor the mothers and grandmothers in our lives.

Abraham Lincoln said:  “I remember my Mother’s prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.”

I know I have been immensely blessed to have had a mother and grandmother who faithfully prayed for me. So, I think it is only fitting that we honor our Mothers, Grandmothers and the people who have loved us like their own by praying for them specifically this year.

We are dedicating a week to pray for our Mothers, Grandmothers and Children. Will you join us for a week of prayer to honor those we celebrate on Mother’s Day? Each day we will share a verse and a brief prayer guide to use as you pray. The prayer guide will focus on believing Mothers, Grandmothers and Children. If, however, your Mother, Grandmother or Child is an unbeliever, I want to encourage you to pray that the requests would become a reality for them, starting with knowing Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

I believe that prayer is the most important activity we, as Christians can do! It is a powerful gift, not just to others, but to ourselves and most importantly, to God! Join us in blessing our Mothers and Grandmothers with the gift of prayer!
